Coming of Age Gala

Watts Village Theater Company is a multicultural urban company that seeks to inspire its community with an appreciation of all cultures through new works about contemporary social issues. Since 1996, WVTC has been a leader in providing acting and theatrical performance workshops for at-risk youth in Watts and South Los Angeles. We infuse our culturally diverse community with a tolerance for differences through the development and production of thought-provoking works such as "Meet Me @Metro," a site-specific extravaganza performed on and around the Los Angeles Metro transit system.

The WVTC is turning 15years old this year, and as both a celebration and a fundraising gala, the company is throwing their "Coming of Age" gala. Working with the idea of a mosaic, and of growth and development, we developed a look and feel for the materials needed for the event. Beginning with the logo creation, we created a design that speaks to the heart of WVTC, while being an inviting and warm design. The circles represent all the elements of WVTC (each circle has a different texture), and there are exactly 15 circles (referencing the 15 years). Working with this we also created a beautiful 8pg program for the event.
